With an eye on what more can be done to transmit optimism and feed the spirituality of its people, in a complex context, without neglecting the quality of the radio product, reflection was made at the annual Youth Radio Balance Assembly in the municipality of Calixto García.
The majestic Heredia Theater in the Hero City of Santiago de Cuba was the stage for the National Act for the Teacher's Day, with the presence of two exemplary teachers from our municipality of Calixto García.
At the Doña Leonor Pérez Cabrera school in the rural neighborhood of Jagüeyes, an event took place that brought together teachers, pioneers, local residents, education directors and municipal organizations from Calixto García who recalled the speech “With All and for the Good of All” given by José Martí at the Liceo de Tampa 133 years ago.
The varied weather conditions of the last few months in a large part of the country, caused the non-realization of many cultural events on their usual date, among them the event “Blancolvido” that commemorates the 70th anniversary of the death of the outstanding Cuban poet and essayist Emilio Ballagas, which occurred on September 11, 1954, in Havana.
To continue being useful and faithful is the maxim of men and women of this municipality of Calixto García who have the honorable commitment to serve their people, their people, those who one day trusted them.
