Productive contribution adds initiatives to the workers' celebration.
With the certainty that "For Cuba Together We Create," a representation of workers' collectives from the Holguín municipality of Calixto García arrived this Sunday at the Cruce de Mir organic farm.


The world is shaken by the news that Pope Francis has passed away. Cubans, Catholic or not, share the grief over the loss of a man who loved peace and defended Latin Americans from the very beginning.
In an effort to diversify the production of its various entities and provide a solution to the complexities facing the territory related to the supply of raw materials, the Basic Business Unit (BBU) of food producers in Calixto García held a working meeting with master bakers representing the various bakeries and confectioneries in our municipality. The objective was to combine their collective experience and knowledge to develop a catalog of food products in which cassava and its derivatives were the main raw materials.
Maintaining zero tolerance for drugs is part of a national strategy that unites efforts and opens doors of hope and love against addiction. This was the case during the socio-educational intervention at the Calixto García Elementary School in Buenaventura, which encouraged participation and reflection on everyday issues and others that, although unknown to some, require appropriate socialization to confront the scourge of drugs.
Milenis Peña González is a social worker who proudly shares the work that has gradually allowed her to transform homes and people in vulnerable situations in the Las Brisas neighborhood. "It's a beautiful and, above all, a humane and sensitive profession that has allowed me to help by providing resources, reincorporating people into society and making them more useful, and that is always appreciated."
