With Holguín honor and the motivation to continue advancing on key tasks, and in the presence of Manuel Hernández Aguilera, Governor of the province of Holguín, the top leadership of the municipality of Calixto García presented the proposed actions to be carried out in honor of July 26th in this territory, the site of the provincial activities for the 72nd anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes barracks.
Deputy Mayor for Construction Julio César Chacón Rodríguez reported on the 153 actions to be carried out in the economic and social sphere, involving 37 state agencies, seven micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (Mipimes), and several self-employed workers, which will make it possible to improve basic services for the population.
Among the actions of greatest impact are the planned inauguration of the much-needed gas station, a request reiterated by voters in several accountability processes, the sterilization facility at the dental clinic and hospital, and the pediatric ward at the Municipal Hospital.
According to information provided by the highest government leadership in the municipality regarding the awarding of provincial activities to this territory on July 26th, the following are planned: paving several streets in the town of Buenaventura, the renovation of six food service units, including the SAF (Sanitary Service for Food and Agriculture), the completion of the municipal funeral home cafeteria, painting, landscaping, and the renovation of the plaza park and the boulevard.
Manuel Hernández, governor of the province, spoke with members of the Administrative Council and representatives of municipal agencies about the care provided to the most vulnerable groups, the food resources that will be allocated to the population, and insisted on combating abusive and speculative prices. He emphasized the province's support for each project, all focused on improving the lives of the people of Calixto. The governor expressed his satisfaction with this territory winning the hosting of the provincial activities for July 26th, and said, "The people of Calixto have always put dedication and effort into every task, which is why they are in a leading position, and we trust in you to continue building the better Holguín we desire."
