Several communication-related points were discussed in a frank and open manner to ensure that our people are better informed about issues affecting the daily lives of Calixteños.

 

The meeting between the Administrative Council and the press was chaired by Mali Ramírez García, president of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power, and Yanet Cabana Cuéllar, acting mayor. Several deputy mayors and the Head of the Communications Department, Eunice González, participated in the meeting, aiming to enrich the exchange.

 

Emphasis was placed on the operation of the municipal radio station Radio Juvenil's generator, with the goal of maintaining broadcasts in special situations, particularly during power outages, so that the population remains informed.

 

Likewise, the president emphasized the coverage of service review meetings, which allow for ongoing updates on the most important events and the main impacts on basic services. She emphasized social media, especially monitoring the 14 websites of key organizations in the territory, as well as the citizen portal, to ensure they remain up-to-date and provide the necessary information to the population.

 

The president also addressed several issues of concern and occupies the government's work, including education, teacher coverage, and nutrition, healthcare, the maternal and child program, the quality of services, expendable materials, and the vitality of nursing homes, among others.

 

He also emphasized other issues under scrutiny, such as revenue compliance, the agricultural product procurement process, water supply, solid waste collection, gastronomy, the Family Care System, and commercial circulation.

 

The meeting between the Board of Directors and the press made it clear that information must be articulated coherently among all parties so that communication flows correctly and reaches the people immediately, thereby achieving greater satisfaction.
