The municipality of Calixto García is in favorable conditions for the start and continuation of the current school year, according to José Manuel Garcell Tamayo, who led a provincial visit from the agency.
"After the exchange with the municipal leadership, we undertook the task of touring eleven schools at various educational levels, verifying the actions taken by school administrators to guarantee the basic material base, teaching staff coverage, and the state of the schools' construction. We investigated the willingness of teachers and support staff for the start and continuation of the school year, and in all cases, we found a positive response.
"We can say that the provincial leadership can count on Calixto García's education system because there is a tradition of serious and sustained work here. It must be remembered that one of the main rural school programs in the country was in this territory, and that spirit of dedication and efficiency remains despite the economic and material problems the country faces," explains Garcell Tamayo.
