In conversation with this journalist, renowned decima writer Acosta Almaguer said he felt honored by the recognition of his work. "I think I've dedicated almost my entire intellectual life to constructing décimas, that stanza made up of ten octosyllabic verses with consonant rhyme, which has required a very strict rhyme scheme, but every time I begin, I don't rest until the end, almost without a break," expresses this writer, a cultural gem from Calixto who has already surpassed eighty years of prolific life.
