Achieving social transformation in the community of La Escondida, from the inside, is the main objective of the social-community project that is already taking its first steps as part of the attention to the priority neighborhoods.
The top leadership of the Municipal Assembly of People's Power arrived at that government demarcation, belonging to the popular council Buenaventura 2, accompanied by directors of organizations, social workers, and representatives of mass organizations to begin the diagnosis, as part of the special attention that it will receive in 2025.
At first, Mailí Ramírez García, president of the highest governing body, referred to the transformation that the community needs in the socioeconomic and cultural order, based on the approaches of the first accountability process, and the problems identified by the delegate and the neighborhood factors.
Doctor of Science Francisco Infante Estrabao, director of the Municipal University Center (CUM), an institution that accompanies the government with its team of experts in this project, explained the objectives of the same.
“This is the first meeting, the socialization of the main ideas of the project with the neighborhood factors, to begin working with the diagnosis, and thus be able to act on the identified problems. Teachers, directors, and students from the center, who are part of the project, will frequently come here.”
Likewise, the director of the CUM referred to the necessary integration of the community group into the project to achieve the expected results.
“To achieve the true transformation of the community, the support of everyone is needed, and much more of those who know the specificities of the neighborhood best in order to act accordingly.”
In this first meeting, there was dialogue with representatives of community organizations, neighbors, and in a special way, families in vulnerable situations were visited.
