The provincial secretariat of the FMC chose the meeting's work office as the venue for the meeting, in recognition of the regular meetings held every February 25th by this group, with the participation of local social workers.

The president of the Court, Carlos Pérez González, explained the different forms of violence against women and the legal means to combat them. Experiences were shared on how social workers can prevent and respond in communities.
The meeting was attended by Yamisley Pupo Rodríguez, a member of the FMC secretariat in the province, who recognized the importance of integrated work between social workers and the FMC.

As usual, the 25th of every month is commemorated as Orange Day, a date whose fundamental purpose is to denounce the violence suffered by women around the world. This day is part of a campaign called the UNITE Orange Campaign, launched in 2008 by the Secretary-General of the United Nations. Its main focus is raising awareness to prevent and eradicate violence against women.
The moment was opportune for the member of the secretariat of the Federation of Cuban Women of the province to present the status of FMC Center for the 65th Anniversary of the FMC to the territory's Directorate of Labor and Social Security.
