This December 22nd, Teacher's Day was celebrated throughout our lush Caribbean island, a fitting tribute to the men and women who dedicate a significant portion of their time to shaping new generations.
The teaching profession deserves recognition from our society, for amidst the difficulties and shortcomings currently facing the education sector, these dedicated and often under-incentivized workers strive daily to give their best for the holistic development of our children, youth, and adults, fulfilling their primary objective: to cultivate the new generation.
The municipality of Calixto García is proud to have among its ranks excellent and experienced teachers who proudly represent the region at important events in the sector, sharing the best practices from their classrooms, such as Yarismilka Marrero, a young teacher at the Camilo Cienfuegos School, to name just one example.
Teachers are a vital pillar in the holistic development of new generations. They are the ones who interact daily with our children, nephews, and grandchildren. That's why it's so important to conduct a thorough assessment to address and monitor the individual needs of each student.
