A frank, open and moderate dialogue regarding the current situation distinguished the pilot Assembly of Accountability of the delegate to his voters in the 16th El Zorral district, in the Holguín municipality of Calixto García, as one of the most effective ways of participation in the Cuban democratic system.
Very well led by its delegate and deputy to the National Assembly of People's Power, Omara Velázquez Carralero, the meeting was an important moment for the voters to learn a little more about the situation of the country, the province and the municipality, as well as the management of the delegate in the problems that affect the community.
The voters raised their concerns regarding the need for greater promptness in the ambulances that from the city of Holguín are in charge of transporting patients, as well as domestic fuel for families that do not have electricity.
They also referred to the need for a children's home, taking into account the needs of working mothers, as well as the high prices of car fares to Jagüeyes and El Zorral.
This is the first assembly corresponding to the XVIII Term of Office, which was attended by the main political and governmental authorities of the municipality, as well as representatives of territorial organizations.
