We Cubans celebrate these days with joy and optimism the advent of May First, international workers' day. The members of the Municipal Directorate of Sports, Physical Culture and Recreation in the Holguín municipality of Calixto García, develop a group of activities in celebration of this date.
Two of these initiatives were the Municipal Contest of the class with the Elderly and the scientific event, which had the participation of the Community Physical Activity (AFC) teachers.
The technicians Antonio Segura Estrabao and Roger Téllez Rodríguez, both from the “Carlos Rodríguez Hernández” Sports Complex of Buenaventura, as well as Clarisbel Hernández Cedeño from the Wilfredo Peña Sports Complex of Mir, stood out.

Antonio, better known as “Tatín” about the events said “although they are only demonstrative since we do not have the presence of the grandparents, they constitute an excellent opportunity to share experiences and, above all, to appropriate methods used by other teachers.”
For her part, Clarisbel did not hide her satisfaction with the work with the grandparents, “it is very gratifying to work with the elderly because we are an important part in improving their quality of life.”

“I come from working with sports and this type of contest or event specifically from the AFC allows us to gain basic knowledge, I am very happy to be among the outstanding ones,” said Roger.
