With their sights set on increasing the provision of services even in the midst of the limitations imposed by the current lack of resources, the nursing staff focused the debate of the annual Nursing Balance Assembly and the Cuban Society of that specialty in the Holguín municipality of Calixto García.
This is corroborated by the results in programs such as maternal and child care, primary care, among others, which demonstrated the professionalism of men and women to fulfill their social mission. However, the reflections of its participants demonstrated weaknesses in which it is necessary to seek greater multisectoral work.
This was emphasized by María Morán Martín, nurse at the Nicodemus Regalado León Municipal Hospital. "What we have done is still not enough to reverse health problems such as teenage pregnancy that continues to mark the territory today, and on this issue greater action is essential from the neighborhood with families, as a sector we have responsibility but the home environment also has them and many other agencies and organizations.”
The management of knowledge, the implementation of investigative work, the continuous improvement of personnel and compliance with each procedure were also presented with the aim of achieving greater results in 2024.
The work projections include this so that each health area takes center stage and that this year the results are superior.
As the culmination of the meeting, which was held at the Buenaventura teaching polyclinic, the most outstanding nursing departments and workers dedicated to their altruistic profession were recognized.
