A privilege for Calixteño culture is the poet, Ramón Acosta Almaguer, who has written hundreds of décimas, sonnets and free verse dedicated to the most dissimilar topics of daily life.

In his book “With God's permission”, the cultural promoter also shows us his virtuosity by weaving verses that shake the feelings of the most reluctant reader.

“John Lennon returns, download

your concert once again,

defend peace again

with your voice of light and shield.

What a deep sorrow it overwhelms

To the Beatles this time!

Perhaps because the centipede

From hate he puts his boots

About broken arteries

From a world that is upside down?

According to those in the know, the work “With God's Permission” is conceived through the tenth, where a man faces the social problems of the world with a materialistic vision, contains a multiplicity of themes ranging from man's dreams, death , pain, peace, love in its most universal sense, denunciation, even the barbarity of war.

For the poet Ramón Acosta, Buenaventura and Velasco are twinned because love unites them, the tenth, a stanza with great popular roots, the fragrance of the countryside, from this last town distinguishes Gilberto Cruz Rodríguez, a nationally and internationally recognized writer and who has conceived books aimed at the rural environment, the rescue of the traditions of its people, folklore, and the tenth. Through this approach the fiery verses of the Calixteño minstrel vibrate.

“ Buenaventura and Velasco

   Mecca of verse and school

Where is the spinel?

A diamond rock

Nine muses on the helmet

rhyme heritage

It rains tropes, magic, esteem

and even an infinite angel

Mecca, blessed place

She struggled to the top.

The poet's treatment of diverse themes in his work “With Permiso de Dios” is astonishing. It is distinguished by the exalted culture and lexical richness of its author, who despite visual inconveniences is supported by a privileged memory.
