Aware that collective contribution is essential to transform the environment and even more so if it involves food production, a representation of students from the Armando Valle Pre-University Institute and the Juan Carlos Batista Polytechnic Center developed a productive day at the Cruce de Mir.

The mobilization framed in the celebration of the 64th anniversary of the first volunteer work called by Che allowed collaboration in tasks aimed at promoting the harvest of fresh vegetables and condiments.

This is stated by the young Eliécer Peña who recognizes the contribution of the student body on fronts like this. "Coming back here and doing it with young people shows us the commitment of a generation that makes each call its own and what better way to remember Che from the furrow by participating in tasks for cleaning chambers, planting flowerbeds and preparing areas for future productions."

From the Calixto García Pioneer Camp, located in the Cañada Honda neighborhood, those studying alongside workers from that Calixteña educational institution also remembered the date by participating in various tasks.

José Carlos Ocampo, Municipal President of Feem in the territory, expressed his pride in being part of a people that is identified with its National History and defends it above all. "We are part of a generation that does not forget the ideals of our nation's struggle and that is why we are here remembering November 23, 1959 as a day in which together we go for more."
