"The Future Is in Our Hands" is an educational project that combines initiatives and promotes actions at Esbu Calixto García, aimed at preventing negative behaviors in adolescents and young adults.

Teenage pregnancy, drug prevention, and the proper use of social media are topics that students are currently addressing through initiatives that contribute to the education of the next generation.

Educational talks by specialists and testimonials from the students themselves are shared in various settings, led by social workers, who organize exchange sessions not only with the school but also with families.

Social worker Yaumara Hidalgo García, one of the project leaders, says, "It's made up of ninth-grade secondary school students and seeks to encourage young people to reflect on how they can avoid these types of negative behaviors, which influence and affect their social lives."

The "The Future is in Our Hands" project is part of a campaign that allows for identification and the search for engaging ways to continue taking action, as confirmed by social worker Yaumara Hidalgo.

"The project already has its logo, its slogan, and a song that identifies it, and the goal is to continue expanding it to other educational centers and institutions." It has the support of organizations such as the Ministry of Health, the FMC (Family Training and Development), the CDR (Center for Development and Development), and the art instructors' brigade, among others.

[The results of the project were presented at the Third Workshop on systematization of prevention and social care held in the municipality, chaired by Yuritza Consuegra Nápoles, a Provincial Government official (First on the left).] The results of the project were presented at the Third Workshop on systematization of prevention and social care held in the municipality, chaired by Yuritza Consuegra Nápoles, a Provincial Government official (First on the left).
