The 173rd anniversary of the birth of Cuba's most universal figure brought together Pioneers and teachers in the Holguín municipality of Calixto García. As every year, initiatives accompanied the Pioneer groups, where education is based on Martí's ideals.
This was confirmed by the head teacher of the Enrique Hart Davalos School in Monte Alto. There, this Friday, the traditional Explorer's Day celebration became an opportunity not only to prepare students for life but also to delve deeper into the principles and values of the National Hero's thought.

Likewise, at the Rigoberto Mora semi-boarding school in Buenaventura, the Pioneer Explorer movement enjoyed various recreational activities near the Orlando Proenza baseball stadium. There, boys and girls demonstrated their skills in traditional games, such as tug-of-war, which never go out of style.
A truly happy, unique, engaging, and deeply Martí-inspired day. Activities like these are currently highlighting the educational centers of Calixto García as part of the children's tribute to the man of "The Golden Age."
