Construction workers of the Basic Business Unit of Thresholds completed the first four houses of a plan of twenty, planned for this year.
The forces executed the new buildings for families affected by weather events, and outstanding workers in the communities of Guayabo, Cañada Larga and Buenaventura.
In the completion of the houses, which have two and three bedrooms, living room, kitchen, terrace and bathroom, alternative materials such as wood were used due to the lack of metal elements to fix the roof and bricks due to the lack of cement to make concrete blocks.
“At this moment we are executing the fifth house, with cement that we have to look for at Mariel. We also have limitations with steel, but we will continue to do everything possible to complete homes for families in this part of the Holguín province, ”said José Luis Velázquez Martínez, Director of the Umbrales Business Unit in the municipality of Calixto García.
