The Popular Transportation Inspectors are recognized in the western Holguin municipality of Calixto García, for their daily contributions to the mass transportation of passengers, and for contributing to fuel savings, as well as the confrontation of Covid-119.

This group of workers, members of the transport union, offers hundreds of benefits to travelers in need of moving within the town, the province of Holguín and to other eastern territories, among which are Las Tunas and Granma.

“I always keep an eye on the vehicles that circulate with empty capacities on this section of the Central Highway to quickly make the stop sign and summon the driver to provide the transportation service to one or more people on the way to their destination, and thus promoting an efficient use of the energy carriers that light vehicles and trucks consume in daily work activities, "said Ángel Antonio Díaz Hernández, Popular Inspector of transportation who works at the boarding point in front of the punch bowl in Buenaventura.

In this territory there are seven passenger boarding points attended by the 11 popular transport inspectors in Mir, Cruce de Mir, Las Calabazas, Cruce de Maceo, San Agustín, in front of the bus terminal and at the exit to Holguín in Buenaventura .

“At this time, in addition to providing the passenger transportation service, we also help to comply with the hygienic-sanitary measures to face the pandemic, among which are the mandatory use of the nasobuco, keep distance between people and wash hands. as many times as necessary ”.
