The honorary chair of the University of Holguín dedicated to the thought and work of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, develops these days the Fidel Castro event and the Battle of Ideas of the 21st century to remember its transcendence in the history of Cuba in tribute to the third anniversary of his physical disappearance on November 25, 2016.
The event has a space in the institution for the presentation of research projects prepared by professors and students of the main teaching centers in the territory and of the municipal university centers.
Amarilis Batista, president of this group of researchers in the province, said that 78 speakers will participate in the meeting, which deal with themes closely linked to Fidel Castro's actions and thoughts on culture, economy, socialism; his potential as a social communicator and the impact that his work has caused in Cuban society.
Raúl Troya, special guest, meant the quality of the research work in the promotion of the life and work of the Commander in Chief, highlighting the possibilities that some of these for their content can be included as continuity of studies within the master's teaching programs or doctorate
Batista also added that 16 audiovisual materials were also received from researchers from the municipality of Urbano Noris, which reflect Fidel's relationship with women, young people, revolutionaries in history such as Commander Camilo Cienfuegos and the criteria in common with thinking Martian
He indicated that at the end of the tribute program to Fidel during this week, the most outstanding works will be selected for publication next year in the journal Luz, from the University of Holguin.
The event plan includes the holding of conferences at the headquarters of mass organizations in Holguín such as the Federation of Cuban Women, the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution and the Central of Workers of Cuba, through which They also promote creative works about Fidel in other professional fields of society.
The honorary chair on the thought and work of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution has about 121 affiliates between professors and students of the main municipal university teaching headquarters, mainly those existing in the provincial capital and the municipalities of Sagua de Tánamo , Cueto, Antilla, Urbano Noris, Moa and Rafael Freyre.
