cocina comedorFamilies from Calixto García will benefit from the upcoming start-up of the dining kitchen that culminates in the "Rigoberto Mora" school in the town of Buenaventura, which will make it the first semi-boarding school in the municipality of Calixto García.

More than four hundred children of working mothers will have the opportunity to benefit from the services offered by this facility that will offer snacks and lunches to infants from preschool to sixth grade.

Alfredo Rubet Carballosa, head of the Investment Department of the Directorate of Education, believes that the work is ninety-five percent of its physical execution: "We did not want to accelerate the construction in order to gain in quality. The kitchen has liquefied gas stoves, and the necessary supplies to provide a service in time to avoid any delay that affects the continuity of the educational process.

"Work is being done to finish the installation of drinking water, we are in the final phase of painting. The dining room is ready, it will take 28 tables that will assimilate the diners. Everything has been planned for the optimal use of the dining room schedule, "he finally said.

Ronny Pérez Rojas, director of education, said that "this work is of capital importance. It was a request from many years ago; the working family insisted on the need for Buenaventura to have its semi-boarding school, and soon it will be able to count on this installation.

"Repairs are also being made to educational centers here in this town. In that case, there is the Juan Carlos Batista polytechnic, and the Rubén Bravo school center, in the Pueblo Viejo neighborhood, which have been stopped at times due to irregularities in the availability of construction materials. In any case, there is a commitment to educators and the family that repairs should be completed in those schools”.
