Pioneers protagonism in the municipality of Calixto Garcia Holguin is felt with much more force these days on the eve of his 55th birthday.

From the month of February we began the assemblies of collectives that we concluded recently in March as spaces to strengthen the work of the organization and in a special way to address essential issues such as culture and identity, the history of Cuba, vocational training and combat against the adictions. The debates were enriching, there are still edges to improve but the work is appreciated and results are good. In all the schools, special morning programs, reading promotion days, sports competitions, activation of the brigades of the exploration and camping movement are being carried out and several subjects are contested, which allows to encourage study, as their main duty.

We always make a municipal celebration and this time we are organizing it very close to April 4 in Buenaventura a special gift for our children with various attractions of the playground said Yudelkis Batista Guerrero, Municipal President of the José Martí Pioneers Organization (OPJM).

The mission of the organization defined as the active participation in the formation of future men and women who will have the responsibility to continue the work of the Revolution and with that objective we work to develop among the children the interest for the study, the sense of social responsibility , love of the country and pride in the relevant events of Cuban history. In the territory we can not speak of an event or social activity where the presence of our pioneers does not distinguish this activity and in that way the future of a secure future is forged.
