Women with different political and administrative responsibilities shared experiences of their work and the challenges they have faced in fulfilling their responsibilities.
Rosilda Pérez Ávila, with 17 years as a union leader and delegate of the People's Power, said she felt committed to the neighbors who trusted her and how her family has been an indisputable part of her career.
"Without the support of the family, I am sure that today the results of work and in the community itself are not the same because we have to unfold to fulfill the tasks, that is why for them also recognition."
Yanisbé Bermúdez Valera is an official of the Union of Young Communists and although she recently leads community work in the neighborhood of Cabecito, she assures that Cuban women have the ability to assume any task by tradition.
"For women, there are no obstacles and we see them in the most diverse fronts, that is why the trust that has been gained and the leading role achieved each day."
Mailí Ramírez, vice president of the government in the municipality of Calixto García, recognized the professionalism and dedication of the women to take on the tasks and as a young director ratified the accurate confidence in the new generations, who continued the Cuban social project.
The leadership, capacity and passion deposited in each function, together with her undoubted work as mothers, daughters and wives, reflected the greatness and beauty of the woman who has served as inspiration for many artists.
As a cultural gift, seasoned defenders of the local culture and local amateur artists joined their voices and sang essential themes of Cuban music on International Women's Day, this March 8.
This activity, developed in Buenaventura, joins the celebrations here led by the Federation of Cuban Women that these days multiplies its work so that each one of the females reaches the entertainment they deserve.
