The health sector in the municipality of Calixto García maintains measures contained in the plan to combat the Aedes aegypti mosquito, which transmits diseases such as dengue, Zika and chicungunya.

But the efforts that are made to avoid the local transmission of these and other ailments are worth nothing, if from the homes and work centers the oriented tasks are not fulfilled, in order to eliminate everything that propitiates their reproduction.

In this sense, you can not lower your guard before the Aedes, that when we least imagine it, take advantage of any moment of irresponsibility to put their eggs in containers with water, and in other deposits that must be covered hermetically. Likewise, environmental hygiene can not be neglected, since these environments of dirt favor the breeding of mosquitoes, insects and rodents.

The tasks that are carried out show that there is still a need to gain in conscience about the danger posed by mosquito-borne diseases. Therefore, it is necessary to internalize all these procedures and apply them frequently so that what has been done is not stained with irresponsible attitudes of the population.

Identify difficulties related to the existence of grassy gardens, elevated tanks without caps, wells without fish, unprotected cisterns, which form the ideal environment for the female mosquito to reproduce.

We must all support the sanitation work, and that the work of the campaign workers is carried out efficiently, we will avoid greater problems in the transmission of diseases, and of course, the saving of the important resources that are used in the sanitation work.

The population always has to be alert, and ensure their own health, and in the neighborhood, demanding the fulfillment of what each person has to do, guaranteeing personal and environmental hygiene, checking the water tanks, brushing them, flaming them, and have controlled the tanks with biolarvicides.

Hygiene is a permanent task, so every day we must reflect on the risk posed by diseases and adopt a responsible attitude within the family and in the workplace.
