Cement, aggregates, steel and elements for walls and ceilings are granted in a bonus way to 38 families of the municipality of Calixto García who saw their homes affected during the passage of Hurricane Irma.
"To this is added the transportation of construction materials from the warehouses to the homes of the injured party," said Juan Hidalgo Oro, deputy director of the Commerce Company, in charge of the task.
"Last month, another group of families received construction materials to repair the damage that the meteorological phenomenon left in their homes and different types of payment were considered taking into account bank loans," confirms the representative of the commercial company.
Hidalgo Oro commented to Radio Juvenil digital, that a module with toiletries has been taken to the families and the needs in each of them are valued.
When asked about the procedure for a family to receive these bonuses, he specified: "There are government committees that work together with the representatives of each neighborhood and community, visit house to house and are more close to the victim to solve his priorities".
The bonus allow to consider from a fifty to a hundred percent of payment of the materials of the construction, in correspondence with the economic income that the victims have, sample of the support that the government offers in the municipality so that these families recover their homes.
"In the warehouses of each neighborhood, where the people acquires the regulated offers every month, there are now items for these families, a strategy that avoids the transfer to the town of Buenaventura, where the companies supplying the resources are," he explained.
In the municipality of Calixto García, 652 families have the support of the Cuban state to solve the problems caused by the powerful hurricane Irma as it passes through the Caribbean islands.
