However, he stressed: "It is not necessary to neglect those long-term items that are vital to the people's diet, such as the donkey banana and cassava, which characterize the Calixteño fields."

Torres Iríbar received detailed information about Irma's affectations to the municipality, which although discreet compared to other Holguin territories, require a cohesive multifactorial work and popular support for its timely solution.

Arlet Acosta, municipal delegate of Agriculture, reported that the greatest difficulties are concentrated in the loss of more than 220 tons of bananas and guava, nevertheless he said: "Work is in the recovery of the plantations and the collection of these products for sale and delivery to the industry.
