Maria delos angeles Iglesia PerezThe National Revolutionary Police (PNR) represents revolutionary power in the streets and its combatants are identified by their behavior that make them examples of honesty, conditions that accredit the trust and credibility of the people, legacy of the historical leaders of the Revolution and ratified by the members of the Ministry of the Interior (MININT) of the municipality of Calixto García.

These qualities are visible among the officers and non-commissioned officers who changed their epaulet to the next higher grade and others who received commemorative medals for 5, 10 and 15 years of outstanding and uninterrupted work in the ranks of MININT commemorating the 56th anniversary of the foundation of that institution.

Among the promoted is the Suboficial Maria de los Angeles Iglesias Pérez, mother and wife, who thanks his family the possibility of being able to fulfill the assigned missions as an agent of public order, watching over the citizens tranquility.

"In 2000 I heard a message from the local broadcaster that called on young men and women to join the ranks of the PNR. I was only a housewife but I felt interest in that profession that my mother instilled in me. I presented myself to the Board Department of the MININT address in the municipality of Calixto García and days later I received   the approval of the request.

She studied for a year the Holguin PNR school, where she was prepared to act in accordance with an ethic as an agent of public order, with prestige, authority and respect among the citizens, and also acting rigorously in cases where is demanded, when the behavior of people affects the normal development of social relations.

"In the concept of Revolution, Fidel Castro poses that it is to treat others as human beings, which inspires me in my daily actions and this is precisely what has contributed to my authority and the respect with which they value me in the community," said the young combatant of the PNR, who has been doing this work for seven years.

Maria de los Angeles is distinguished by the firmness in her performance, her feminine appeal and her cheerful smile in no way paradoxical with her condition of law enforcement officer and woman, symbol of the qualities that make women a valuable force at the service of a social project that advances along the paths of the common good with all and for all, like José Martí wanted.
