agricultoresThe members of the Cooperative of Credits and Services (CCS) Romárico Cordero, in the People's Council of Cebolla, municipality of Frank Pais, hosted the provincial act of Holguin to honor May 17, Cuban Farmers' Day.

Up to that intricate place of fertile land and varied crops, representatives of the agricultural and livestock production forms came from the municipalities of Holguin to celebrate it, also dedicated to the anniversaries 56 of the creation of the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) and 58 of the Signing of the first Agrarian Reform Law by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro.

Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and first secretary in the province, Julio César Estupiñan Rodríguez, president of the Provincial Assembly of the Popular Power, and Ramón Aguilar Betancourt, member of ANAP National Bureau among other leaders shared with farmers.

Yuraine MACARRO Sanchez spoke on behalf of rural women and their words highlighted women's role in all tasks of the Revolution, and the commitment to continue to participate in agricultural production for the benefit of feeding the people.

During the ceremony awards and incentives were given to managers at the provincial and national level, national avant-garde cooperatives, as well as cooperatives and peasants outstanding in agricultural production.
The provincial Bureau of ANAP gave special recognition to the peasant organization in the municipality of Frank Pais and a similar stimulus was conferred by the provincial Bureau of the PCC to the ANAP in the province on behalf of all farmers of Holguin.

Emilio Ramírez Ricardo, president of the ANAP in Holguín province, reaffirmed the commitment of farmers to continue to increase agricultural production, and materialize the concept of Revolution bequeathed by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, to move towards prosperous socialism and the sustainable development to which Cuba aspires.
